Brighton Pride 2009

The Clare Project has put together a time-table of events for this year's Summer Pride which are aimed primarily at health and well-being, and which at the same time are a lot of fun! (only the events are displayed which have not taken place yet)

Post-PRIDE Revitalising Chi Gung Workshop
Wednesday 5th August, 2.30pm-5.30pm
Dorset Gardens Methodist Church
Quiet Garden, Queen's Park
Chi Gung can be translated as ‘Energy work’ or ‘Energy cultivation’. The exercises that will be taught in this workshop can also be described as Nei Gung (internal work). Nei Gung techniques are thought to be the original chi cultivation practices invented by the Taoists over 5000 years ago. These gentle exercises that are done either moving slowly, standing still or lying down, can help improve emotional, mental, and physical health.
Nei Gung/Chi Gung can also help relieve pain and anxiety, help relieve insomnia, help overcome fatigue and can prevent and relieve arthritis. To enjoy all these potential benefits, just come along. There is a £2 fee for this workshop.
